This can't be real!
We walked along the path, curving gently, flat and calm. The sun beating down on our skin, warming us, but not burning. The air smelled crisp, but, not like fall yet. The scent of pine and underground foliage mixing together. The trail widens and there is a collective gasp. Oh my God! Is this real? One of the most beautiful valleys I've ever seen is in front of me.Aspen trees with golden leaves dot the sides of the peaks. This was what John Denver fell in love with.
